Hamza bin Abdulmuttalib was born in 569 or 570. He is the uncle of our Prophet (pbuh) and one of the first Muslims. His name is Ebû Ammâre (Umare) and Ebû Ya'lâ. His nickname is 'Esedullah'. It means the lion of Allah. His ancestry is Hamza bin Abdulmuttalib bin Hashim bin Abd-i Menaf El Kureyşi el-Hâşimi. His mother, Hz. Hâle bint-i Vüheyb, the daughter of Amina's uncle, her father is Abdulmuttalib. Hz. Hamza and Hz. They are foster siblings because they suckled milk from Suveybe, the concubine of the Prophet and Abu Lahab. Hz. According to one narration from the Prophet, he was born 2 years ago and according to another narration, he was born 4 years ago. He believed seven years before the Hijra. Hz. Hamza is a respected, valuable and powerful person in Mecca.
Hz. How Did Hamza Become a Muslim?
The Meccan State's hostility towards Islam is increasingly intensifying; But this situation could not deter Prophet Muhammad from his cause. They called him 'crazed, soothsayer, magician, poet'. He is patient with all this. He continued to preach Islam.
One day, the notables of the Meccan State were gathered in a place called Hijr next to the Kaaba and were talking. Once upon a time, Hz. Referring to the Prophet (pbuh), they said:
-"We have never been patient with anyone as much as we have been patient with this man. He saw our minds as debauched, sowed separatism among us, disregarded our national values, and introduced anarchy into our state with the ideas he propagated. How long will we be patient with this reactionary, who poses a serious danger to our state? Let's crush his head while he is still young, like a snake." !”
While they were talking like this, our beloved Prophet (pbuh) appeared. As always, he saluted Haceru'l-Esved and started circumambulating the Kaaba. Just as they were passing by, they insulted our Prophet with bad words. Abdullah bin Amr bin As, who narrated this narration, said how bad the words spoken to the Prophet (pbuh) were. He adds that it can be seen from the face of the Prophet (pbuh). Hz. The Prophet (pbuh) continued the circumambulation without making a sound. As he passed them for the second time, they insulted him in the same way. The Prophet of Mercy continued the circumambulation. When he passed them for the third time, they again insulted him with those obscene curses. Thereupon Hz. Muhammad (pbuh) stood and said to them:
-"O Quraysh! Do you hear me? I swear to the one in whose hand is my soul (Allah): I have been commanded and sent to you with such a thing that I will put all of you to the sword!"
Upon these words of the Messenger of Allah (pbuh), the unbelievers who insulted him silenced their voices out of fear. They fell down on the ground as if a huge eagle had landed on each of their heads, and Hz. They started to say nice words to the Prophet (pbuh). And he left from there. The next day, they gathered at the same place again and said to each other:
-"Did you like what we did yesterday? The man intimidated us all by saying one word. You can both talk and not do it!" While they were accusing each other in this way, the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) appeared. As he passed by, they all attacked him and said:
"Are you the one who spoke like that yesterday and denied our gods?" Messenger of Allah (pbuh),
"Yes, I am the one who said those words and does not recognize your gods!" he replied.
Upon his answer, they all wrapped our Beloved Prophet's cardigan around his neck and began to torture and beat him. While they were torturing the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) in this way, Hz. Abu Bakr came. Hz. He saved Muhammad (pbuh) from their hands and said:
-"Are you killing a man who only says, 'My Lord is Allah?'" Thereupon, the men of the Meccan State, the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) and Hz. They walked away, leaving Abu Bakr wounded.
Hz. Abu Bakr was covered in sweat. His head was split open, his face and beard were stained with blood. They had pulled his beard so much that blood was flowing from the roots of his beard. But all this didn't matter to him. The leader of the cause was saved. When necessary, a believer will be tortured, beaten, and martyred for his cause, so that the cause he defends will prevail! This was the Sunnah of Allah..
Hz. Muhammad (pbuh) was saddened by this situation of the Meccans; He wanted them to abandon idols and believe in Allah. But they do not believe; They responded to his calls for preaching with mockery and torture. They were insulting and attacking the Messenger of Allah.
