About Terror
Imam Alparslan Kuytul's Views on Terrorism
Terrorism is the name given to any means of intimidation and fear created by a group in a society in order to break the resistance of the people. Allah (swt) inflicts terror as a punishment for those who do not persevere on the path of truth, who stray away from tawheed (monotheism), and who fall into shirk (associating partners with Allah (swt)). When a society deviates from the path of Allah, when it goes astray from the right path, when it resorts to un-Islamic systems, when it runs to shirk, when it does not do what Allah says but what people say in that country, Allah's punishment is to create civil war among them.
No cause can achieve its goal through the killing of innocent people. It is not permissible to demand rights through illegitimate means. Everyone can demand their rights, but no one's life, property or honor can be harmed. In this way, nothing but hatred can be gained in society through fear and intimidation. Nothing has ever been achieved through intimidation. Many dictators have come and created great fear. When we look at them, they have fallen like everyone else. It is not possible for those who fight through terror to get anywhere. Many of our people have died so far. We are still killing each other. It is understood that weapons are not the solution. The issue of terrorism cannot be solved with tanks, rifles and soldiers. Those who do not want the country to be divided must return to religion. Only with Islamic brotherhood can they extinguish this fire of sedition. This fitna cannot be ended without establishing brotherhood without making Islam dominant. As long as the state adopts a non-religious attitude and does not abandon its nationalist rhetoric, terrorist activities inside will not end. For years the state has been conducting operations in the mountains and cities, but it cannot prevent an explosion. They say, "We will go to the end, we will eradicate terrorism," but this end never comes. The solution is clear: Let the Qur'an be the arbiter, let the guns be silenced, let there be brotherhood! Form a committee of scholars from different countries and consult: what are the rights of each race according to the Qur'an and Sunnah? What rights must the state grant to its citizens of different races? Everyone should agree with the verdict of the scholars. Let those who do not agree with the verdict be shown how Muslim they are! A Muslim would say 'yes' to this call. Allah is the God of Turks, Kurds and Arabs and He gives everyone their rights equally.
Imam Alparslan Kuytul on terrorism: "Terrorism will not end with cursing. We have been cursing for years and getting nowhere. Everyone should accept the judgment of the Qur'an and Sunnah. Allah's judgment is the most correct judgment. Allah does not deviate from justice." He says.
