About the Shia and Iranianism
Imam Alparslan Kuytul Opinion on Shia and Iranianism
Shia is an important jurisprudential, theological and political sect that is considered to be outside the Ahl al-Sunnah and has many followers in the Islamic world, especially in Iran. The Shia sect, which advocates that the caliphate should pass to Ali (r.a.) after the death of Rasulullah (s.a.w.) and does not accept neither the first three caliphs nor the hadiths that do not coincide with the Twelve Imams. Today, there is an attempt to create a war between Muslims by calling it Shia-Iranism. The US has shed a lot of blood and casualties in the Middle East. After that, it put a new plan into action: To ignite the conflicting issues between Shia and Sunni to create a war between the two groups. In this way, he will not only pit Muslims against each other but will also avoid resource intensive wars. Imam Alparslan Kuytul argues that the Ummah should run for unity against this dirty game that Muslims are being dragged into and that the US should not be tricked.
According to the majority of the Ahl al-Sunnah, Shia is a bidat sect outside the Ahl al-Sunnah. Although it is a mistake to say that all their views are wrong, they have many views in common with the Ahl as-Sunnah (many views of the Jafari sect are similar to those of the Hanafis). They are considered bid'ah because they advocate views that the Ahl as-Sunnah do not accept on issues such as the issue of the 12 imams, the sinlessness of the imams, the belief in resurrection, and muta marriage. They reject many of the ahadith that hasn't been seen by any of the twelve Imams. For this reason, they are deprived of thousands of hadiths. This creates a problem in the Shia sect's view of the Sunnah. This does not mean that they have views contrary to the Sunnah in all matters. It can be said that their views on these issues are outside the Ahl al-Sunnah and that their views are bid'ah. We cannot put all their views in the same bucket and say that they are all wrong. Because not all their views are wrong. We face the same qibla. According to Ahl al-Sunnah, Ahl al-Qibla are not takfir. One cannot call someone who prays a kafir.
Imam Alparslan Kuytul said about Shia: "We are Ahl al-Sunnah. Our view is the view of Ahl al-Sunnah. The first caliph was Abu Bakr, the second was Umar, the third was Uthman, the fourth was Ali. All of them have a place on our heads, all of them are caliphs. Even if they do not accept the first three caliphs, we are Ahl al-Sunnah, we accept them; we find their position wrong. Everyone should continue to follow their own sect. The scientific issues with the Shia should be left to the scholars. The scholars can handle such matters. At the moment, the Muslim agenda should not be filled with these debates. This is a project of America: To start a Shia-Sunni conflict and have Muslims kill each other. Muslims shouldn't fall for this game. A Sunni who speaks against the Shia or a Shia who speaks against the Sunnis is playing into America's hands, let's not play fall for this. It is not the time for this. This is not our cause either. Let Islamic civilization be established and have the Shia and Sunni scholars sit down and discuss." He says.
Since Imam Alparslan Kuytul does not takfir Shia, he is subjected to the accusation of Shia-Iranianism. The issue is clear and the opinion of Imam is obvious.
